I did it to mine and it looks great and saved me a couple of hundred dollars or a lot of downtime waiting to get them powder coated. Just knock the chrome off with a scotch pad and do three coats. Baking it in the oven for about 15-20 min at 200 degrees between coats.

Here you go. The pics were taken with an iPhone so of course they look even better in person. One thing to note on doing the brake is that you will need a new cotter pin kit. I think that's what it's called. Take a look at the pin that is bent around the retaining bolt and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Looks good but I think I want to go with gloss black. Thanks for uploading the pics.
