Better check the pinch bolts on your bike if you have any kind of miles on it. I just had a fork come apart on I-5 and lost all the fluid because the slider tube unscrewed from the fork tube plug, slid down because the pinch bolt was broken and lost all the fluid, not to mention i basically had nothing holding the fork tube assembly in place.
This is something you can't see if you have all the panels installed.
I suspect this has been broken for quite a while; bike has 90k on it.
