Default Stage one and Dyno

If I install a set of slip-ons and a new air cleaner, is it necessary to have it dyno'ed??????
I realize that the bike will probably perform the best if it is dyno tuned after I make the changes, but is it essential and will it have an adverse affect on my bike if I do not have the dyno tune performed?
Forgot to mention, 2012 HD Fatboy, 103 ci, no mods to engine.

You will not need a dyno tune but you will either need a Stage 1 download from Harley or a Power Commander or similar device with a stage 1 program.

You will not need to get it dyno tuned. Since your bike is fuel injected you may need a fuel management system. Either a fuel pak from vance and hines or the HD Pro. The programming can be done yourself. I put on v&H big radius w/joker machine air filter and installed the fuel pak myself in a little less than two hours.

No Dyno needed but like others have said, you will need to adjust the amount of fuel being delivered. There are several ways to do that, also mentioned above.

Most people say that the stock ECM will auto adjust enough for only those changes.

That wasn't his question. It won't be worse... it will be the EPA approved AFR which is the same before and after. That will also be true of anything 'custom' done by an HD dealer because they have to comply with EPA. If he wants performance and AFR's outside of the EPA, then he needs to go to someone else than an HD dealer.

The new downloads are a lot better than say, 5yrs ago, still they are a one shot, hope it works kind of fix...If not Ur SOL...

If U are for sure U'll never go cams then U don't really need a high price tuner or dyno..
But both will help U performance, mileage, and should help cool Ur oil temp a little.
By switching to some good Syn oils will help also..
