overheating rear brake
Ok , heres my dillema , simple but not..I run a JB Quad caliper on the rear of my 1984 softail..Im a big guy 300 pounds , and the bike is no featherweight either..Recently the caliper let go and ruined my pads, I got new pads , rebuilt the caliper and put a new to me rear rotor on because the old one was pretty trashed. Now , I go test ride this am and stops good for a while , then after 3 or 4 really hard stops I boil my fluid and rear rotor is overheated..hmmm , not dragging , and new sintered pads..before I had the leak issue I never overheated the rear brake...any ideas out there..thankfully I didnt glaze the pads being 80 bux to replacem..should I get a different rotor,Like stainless or stay with stock ? def an odd issue..
Thanks to anyone that helps out..oh yeah, the rotor is a 11.5" front , so it is thinner, and It could be the issue...needed to hold off on buying a rotor due to money..
