Shotgun Lo,
I'm looking to replace my handlebars on my 2010 Lo as well. What handlebars did you go with?

I had a LO last year, put 6500 miles on it. My first Harley.
Traded it for the slim 2 months ago. Put 2500 miles on slim and prefer the handling. 200mm wore out too fast.

1.5" Carlini Freeway bars bud. Got to say it's my favorite mod besides engine work. Very comfortable and feels solid against crazy gusts...Before I had throw on the wimp shield for short highway trips.

You beat me to it. I sat on a lo and the slim and the slim fit me better. The style is more 'me' too though. The slim actually sits lower than the lo and I also prefer the slimmer rear tire and chopped fender. YMMV of course.
Bought it about a month ago.

Bought the Lo and never regretted it. That's not to say any other Harley wouldn't make me happy. You have to like the looks, feel and handling of a bike. Also, if you plan on doing mods to it think ahead and get a vision of what you want.

I want to get one. Just worried about hitting the floorboards. All my buddies say since I have never drove a bike that I shouldn't get that one. I love the look and feel of them tho.

The bike that feels best to you will be the best bike to start on. As others have said try to ride a few different ones and then decide. Now that's said I love my Lo the style and colors are what attracted me to it. I was going to get a Street Glide to replace my totaled Electra Glide. Once I saw and test rode the Fatboy LO I was sold. No looking back no regrets.

I had race/sport bikes for my 20+ riding years.
The FatBoy Lo was my first cruiser. I went thru most of the models that were available for a test ride at my local dealer. Starting from a sportster to a VRod.

The Fatty felt natural for me, like an old pair of shoes.
I knew from that ride that it was the bike for me, but i still enjoyed the hunt.

Try out as many as you can, its a huge investment, even after the purchase.
By the end of the hunt, you'll know...

Good luck and let us know.

Haha.....I do love the shotgun, don't get me wrong. Not quite the game changer for comfort as my bars.
