Hey guys, been off here for a while. So my 01 Fatboy has been acting up. It takes off fine but in 3rd gear it cuts out occasionally. If i even TOUCH the throttle it dies. The engine will idle real high while it is doing this and all I can do is shift into 1st and wait for it to stop.
I pulled the plugs and they were black with carbon. Scraped it all off, cleaned them to like new condition and it is still doing it. Before I pulled the plugs, the high beams turned on and wouldnt turn off. After they were clean, the high beams went off. This morning it did all this agian and now the high beams are stuck on.
Did a diagnostic on it and there are no faults. Any ideas??
Recently changed the oil, replaced the CPS, and fuel pump assembly.
with the high idle my first thought is the IAC, look into the tb and at 12 oclock is the iac, spray some carb cleaner in there to loosen anything up. Also turn key on it should retract then shut off and it should return smoothly
