Question Cam Question...

Hey forum, I hear alot of riders talking about changing out their cams for better performance. I have an 06" Fat Boy with the 88 engine. V & H short shots, PCIII, Screamin eagle a/c, stage 1. I just do not know what up grade cam I need and also, will it be real difficult to do yourself without expensive special tools? Pretty good with wrenching...Thanks for any in-put...

There are numerous threads on the forum that you can read and gain just as much, if not more (stuff that someone forgets) about choosing a cam than you will get as an answer this time. You would do yourself a favor to search the forum for "cams" and "choosing cams" plus visiting the Andrews and S&S web sites.

If you do your own wrenching, you can do it. I didn't install mine because I was afraid it might be too much but after doing other things, I believe I could have done it. As stated above, just do a forum search...there are many threads on it.

If this is all ur going to do to the bike I would run the Andrews 21....tons of low-end power. The labor is not that bad around 270$ . Pick the bike up and hold on!!!!
