Default more ecm questions

ex-lurker now member. bought a 2012 fatboy 103 last year and finally ready to personalize. just dumped a load into a custom paint set thats on the way and bought a pair of vh bigshots staggered. here's where i need help, my bro says to get a PCV and my wrench buddies say if im just doin pipes the new ECM should handle it by itself. looking for more opinions. who wants to help?

Wrench buddies are right. Just an AC and exhaust on the new bikes, the system will adjust for it is my understanding.

+1 on that. And the 2012 models have the new BOSCH ECM that is supposedly even better at it that the Delphi one used in the previous years.

I have a 2012 Fat Boy with a stage 1 A/C unit, V&H Twin Slash slip on mufflers Cats removed because they were in the stock mufflers & the Stage 1 EPA legal Harley down load. The HD download only matchs the fuel & air curve to match the increased air flow & adds just a hair of fuel in certain spots of the fuel & air curve to balance things out while maintaining EPA legal limits. It also increases the RPM limit set point from 5500 to 6200 RPM, the RPM increase is nice.

The bike runs great smooth no surging good power over all & still gets 42 MPG
