Mechanically Retarded...
1. Get the service manual - best $60 you'll spend!
2. Get some basic, yet QUALITY tools. You can also add to them later. Craftsman (or even Kobalt) will be perfect.
3. Go slow. Take your time. Give yourself plenty of clean floor space to work.
4. Go slow. Take your time.
5. It's worth repeating. Go slow. Take your time.

As others have said, get the softail manual. While most HD accessories come with instructions they will reference the service manual also. Like 'remove the turn signals per the service manual'. Your relo kit will probably say something like that then show you how to install the relo kit. Without the manual you'll be guessing as to those first steps.
Thanks everyone! From what I take -
1. Buy Service Manual
(I came across the whole grinding down thing, I'm sure it does look better, it's just one more step for someone like me to **** up.)
2. Get some basic Craftsman/Kobalt tools
(Torque and Allen sockets with ratchet?)
3. Go slow, take my time.
I'll let you guys know how it went. If I don't happen to let you guys know, it's probably because I screwed something up X_x Even something as simple as this.
