Default Handlebar Opinions Please

I have always liked apes on Fatboys, and think I am finally just going to go ahead and buy a set of 14 - 16 inch bars. I am on my 3rd set of bars on this bike and have liked them all, but always wish I had done the apes, just did not want to spend the money on all the cables at the time.

Looking for opinions on a couple things: 1. chrome or gloss black finish on the bars? 2. Carlini Flying Apes or RIS Design Crush Tube Apes? My bike is black with mainly chrome accessories and I was originally going with chrome bars, but am thinking the black bars might be nice contrast. I will keep the chrome controls/black grips. Which do you all think would look best on bike? I have always liked the Carlini apes, but saw the Crush Apes and I like the look, but cannot find any pics on bikes to see how the bar angles would look on a Fatboy (with nacelle). Below is a pic of the Crush Tube bars if you have not seen them and a couple pics of bike to get an idea what setup might fit best. Seat height is pretty low, so I think the 14 - 16" is as high as I will go to avoid too much reach. Thanks for any suggestions.

Wow - never seen a shortage of opinions on the forum before. Anyone seen a set of the RIS Design crush tube apes in person? Wondering about quality. Thanks

I run 15 inch Chubby's on my Fat Boy. They are Drag Specialties Buffalo Bars that are rated as 14 inch, but they actually measure 15. Even though you could easily pull off black bars, I say go chrome. But, I always say go chrome.

I am right about 6ft and think either 14 or 16's would look and feel great on your bike. Those Chrush Tubes would look sa-weet!

I'm a big fan of Carlini bars, had a couple sets over the years. I say go with black. As far as height goes Carlinis measure on the tall side too. I'm 6'4'' and with my brawler seat my hands are slightly above my shoulders.

Nice rides and thanks for the pics. Think I am going to check the finances and if no surprises, I am just going to make a purchase. Will check out some pics of Carlini's installed and then call RIS. Really like Carlini bars, but kind of leaning towards crush apes for something a little different, plus I will have more riser options.
