They will all do it. Even WOT going up thru the gears. My guess is it will not last very long but it will do it. Its the square dogs dropping in, not gear teeth. Guess it could shuck 2nd or 3rd gear however. Not really sure what will go first.
When we were kids and rode Triumph Bonnies...1964 or so, their trannies were so nice that we did it.
My opinion ONLY...You are not doing any favors to those parts in tranny or clutch.
Been doing it for years. I had a 500 2 stroke honda dirt bike, never used the clutch other then to stop and go. I have also done it on all the Harleys I have had but not on a regular basis. It's actually good to get to know your bike and when and where to shift at but I only say that because in the case if you do lose a clutch or something you can get it home without much issue. They do have clutches for a reason though so I only do it when in need of doing it or to feel my bike out when I 1st get a new one. I have yet to do it on my current bike and not sure if I ever will on this one. I know 1st hand it can be done so unless I have to, gonna use my clutch.

Yes cause its a gear that moves and not a tumbler and dog engagement style trans.
You can shift without the clutch however the shock to the drivetrain which may cause issues. I used to shift without the clutch but I've changed my riding style to one that's not quite as potentially harmful to the drivetrain.

If you have had a tumbler style HD trans out you can see how devastating this could be if you mess up. I dont trust the strength of the lowest bidder materials they use. Ill keep using my clutch.
