You can move your hands and feet ahead, and your a$$ back on the fatboy, just costs a few bucks, but probably no more then trading your bike. Best to just go with your gut. There were bikes I liked as much of better then my flstc, but in the end, it just fit me. I couldn't be happier and never looked back. If it feels like the slim was made for you, then it probably was...

It seems that the best bike is always the next bike...until you really fall in love! Liking the "look" is one thing, but liking the ride is everything! Besides, except for where you are getting on and off, YOUR not the one looking at it

put two turns on the rear preload, handles much better.
Hasn't got that dragging it's **** along the ground feeling that I really can't stand now, till the g/f gets on the back anyhow.......

Now just to sort the seat, but that can wait.

Anyone know about relocating the Bank Angle Sensor. Does it have to be on the rear fender?

We all go through this. You know your choices you just need to figure out which one you will be happier with.

Once you make the fatboy yours there will still be something else that catches your eye. If you have the financial ability to get a new ride, get it. If you can do both it would be better yet.

I'm a big fan of customizing your bike to make it fit you rather than finding another bike that appears to fit better. Have you rented a slim yet? Perhaps a weekend with one will help.

I traded my 2012 lo with 6000 miles and $2000 for a Slim.
Before I was barley keeping up with the pack we ride with. Now when I Leed the rides, they can barley keep up. Slim handles way better for me.

Yep, this was exactly my point.
I had the slim from my dealer for two days whilst my Lo was off the road.
It reminded me very much of an old Z250 I had when I was 18, but with like 10 times more ooomph. Effortless handling.

I think the Lo just needs more force to muscle it around, but it'll never be as planted as the Slim.
It's not that I want to go fast, but it's nice to feel you could always go 10mph faster around a bend, rather than feeling you should be going 10mph slower.......

A new 07 Duece, then a 09 NT, finally he got a 10 Steet glide..

Now he can ride all day without pain and he loves it..

It should be all about the fit for you. But it's also very emotional.
In the end only you really know what will make you happy. Figure that out and do it.

I am fairly tall as well. I put a solo Brawler seat on my Fatboy, and I moved me back far enough that I now feel that my Ultra Classic has a cramped rider position.

They make a two up Brawler as well, but I have no experience with that one.

I never leave the stock bars on, as they are always too low for me.
