Bike goes in the shop thursday for a 95" build too. Trying to decide to have some thing done with the heads as well.
RiggidyRaw you say the 06 heads are great heads though. So I should not need to have to any thing done to them? Or is there some thing I can have done to them While they are off the bike?
Thanks

I'm not a wrench but I've done a lot of research on heads. Stock heads on an06 are supposed to be great heads. Having them ported and polished will signifiantly increase HP and torque.Bad Boyz Head Porting comes highly recommended. You can sent your stock heads to the for porting and polishing for about $300. Here's a link to their site with their rationale http://www.bigboyzcycles.com/harleyheadporting.htm

Congrats on the new power!

I did the cams and heads, but kept my displacement at 88ci. I went with Head Quarters HQ-0039 cams and had them port/polish, add new valve guides and seals, larger valves, and heavier valve springs my stock heads. Also got their adjustable ignition module. I already had the high-flow K&N air filter, rejetted carb and Vance and Hines Straight Shots. I've been told to expect 90+/90+ hp/tq.

I can't wait to ride her with the mods... one more week til I get out of her winter sleep![sm=bounceybounce.gif]

Cheers!

Agreed definitely worth the $. The TC heads are good heads. It is mainly the exhaust port that tends to choke off the airflow. The engine will flow better and run a bit cooler too.

So just a port and Polish should be a good complete for the 95" kit with 204 cams. I figure since it will be apart good time to do some head work. IS that a prety standard price for the job 300.00?

$300 is about as good as it gets. Can run $1000 + for new heads. Depending on your pipes, you could get near 100hp/100tq.
