Default lowered 2001 Night Train

I had some work done on my forks this weekens by a local Harley place (not the dealer). My front forks were lowered when i bought the bike and I was having some metal to metal noise on most if not all bumps. Part of the problem was a leaking right fork from the socket screw in the lower. Pulled it all apart, no damage, and all looked normal. Put it back together with some heavy weight oil, and still the same problem. The guy had done a lowering kit on another bike last week, and still had the instructions which showed a spacer, which mine did not have. Put a spacer in and perferction. Much better now. Contemplated putting back the original damper, which was next if the spaceer did not work. Need a favor from some one with a NON lowered night train. Lenght of fork from top to bottom, so I can check the difference between my lowered with a spacer and an original non lowered NT. Thanks
