Progressive drop in spring kit, easy install you can do yourself in less than an hour..cost you probably less than $100 and they ride pretty nice for the money spent, not as spongy as the oem springs, very predictable.

I bought the Progressive Suspension “Monotube Cartridge and Spring Kit – Lowered” for my 2007 Night Train. I am happy with it and it definitely rides smoother.

I am curious about how much fork travel is left with the stock tubes. I want to lower my bike using mono tubes and 2 inch shorter fork tubes. That way I can lower my front down 3 inches. But others maybe able to chime in

The progressive kit is very simple to install and you can adjust your ride height. I used that kit and race tech gold valves. I have 2 inches between my trees and sliders and I've never bottomed out and I absolutely love my front end set up.

although I have a Blackline..I installed Night Train forks in order to be able to use the Progressive Drop In kit... the install documentation said not to go lower than 2 inches.. I went down to 2.75 inches and the bike rides fine.. however, the travel of the front end is quite limited once you go below 2 inches of drop.. I recently rode 600 miles and I purposely did some front end hard braking.. no issues at all.. the Drop In kit is ridiculously easy to install..
