I just ordered the Progressive Drop-In Lowering Kit for the front end of my '07 Night Train.
Right out of the box does the kit lower the front end a certain amount or do you cut the PVC spacer no matter what?
I have seen some pdf's of the instructions but it doesn't say how much of a drop it is out of the box - all I've seen is it says the PVC is 4.5" for my bike, but how much drop does that give you?? Just trying to avoid some trial-and-error as I only want 1-1.5" drop.
I used this setup on my 2005 Deluxe. You have to cut the pvc to achieve your desired height. Just make sure you cut both sides the exact same length. make sure the cuts are straight, then sand down any roughness. I hand never dropped the forks on my bike and honestly the hardest thing was removing and replacing the nacelle. Other then that, piece of cake.
dsalazar63 what do you mean when you say the nacelle was the hardest part?
The chrome housing behind the headlight. On the Deluxe, the nacelle and the auxiliary lights have to come off and go back on in a specific order or it's a pain in the *** to get everything to line up properly.
Take your time, take pics as you take things apart. Refer back to them....you won't have any problems.
