Default A Sincere Question Regarding Fat Boy vs Blackline Pricing

Just wondering what the Fat Boy includes to justify the $1500 bump in price over a Blackline? A bit more chrome, wider wheels / tires...Just a sincere question...Any ideas?

The Fatboy weighs in at about 45-50 lbs heavier than the Blackline. It is a bit longer and some of the price difference might be accounted for in a few of the features like the Fatboy's Silver, Bullet Hole Disc Cast Aluminum wheels, the tank mounted speedometer and inclusion of the fuel gauge. They also have different tire sizes (with Fatboy being a bit bigger).

I own a Fatboy and have been very happy, but I also like the Hard Candy option on the new Blackline for something different. I always feel like the Black Denim paint is pretty sick.

Also, simple economics. The Slim is considered to be more of an entry level/bobber style bike, so the price must be lower to meet that. The FB is an older, iconic bike so they can charge more for that.

I would imagine resale value has a lot to do with it. The Fatboy is Harley's #1 all time best seller.

And as stated resale on a FB is the best. You can still find 5,6,10 yr old FB going for a good price tag because well, its a FB. I own a blackline and love it, came down to it or a fatboy lo and i just liked the feel of the blackline to me, but thats my preference.
