A nice pair of spring clip pliers and lots of patience. Gotta remove that big spring clip holding the ball ramp in place. Get good spring clip pliers, the cheapos will drive you crazy.

Yep, then once you get that off, don't drop the ball bearings under that cover! Then the cable just unscrews. Getting the new one screwed in can be a bitch sometimes. You gotta get it lined up perfectly.

Also, don't forget to loosen up your clutch cable adjustment...

Harley Davidson Engineering aka HDE, not quite American at it's best.

Maybe I'm a dummy but i just rolled the piece the clutch cable clips in around and popped it out, slid cable out unscrewed and reversed the process going back together if that makes sense

That works if there is enough slack in the line. If not, use the spring clip pliers as mentioned. Here's a tip for getting it back together; put a dollop of axle grease in the spots for each of those 3 ball bearings to "hold" them in place when you put it back together. HTH.

Was going to add that...beat me to it. And replace the cable o-ring if not supplied.

Makes sense I'm sure all our cables aren't given the same amount of slack so it prolly works for some but not others.
