I have the Kuryakyn fairing & love it. The only time it will come off is if the bike gets sold. Love having the tunes & really enjoy the glove box this one has.
Not trying to restart old threads but curious about all those that installed fairings on their bikes. Are you still glad you did? Do they always stay on? Anything you wish you had done differently? Thanks forthe info. Trying to decide wether to pull the trigger on one and which Oneida should get.
Bought one from Exotic Body Parts last winter, last time I had it off was to get it painted. LOL Really like it alot, went to Sturgis again this year......2 days 1,000 miles to get there, makes a big difference at the end of a long riding day. Really it's all about what you want to spend, are you handy (DYI)........didn't care about service after the purchase cause I custom built mine.
I bought a tsukayu for the rock and I've honestly only had it on 5 times (1 day each). I like the music but having to change bar position sucks. Maybe run it more in the future but until different bars I don't see it happening.
I'm a Memphis Shades guy too. Being able to pop it on and off in a few seconds is a big plus for me. You just need to be sure about the height of the shield that you want. I went with a lower one at first and switched to one a couple of inches higher a few weeks later. I can still see clear over it so I'm happy as a lark now. By the way, pretty inexpensive for this setup but no tunes with the Memphis Shades.
Will the Memphis Shades batwing fit directly on to the clamps that are already on the bike for the Windshield? I've got an 06 Heritage, and was wondering whether or not I'd have to buy the mounting kit or not.

No, I don't think so. Geez, it's been a few years since I got mine. But I remember having to install the parts that make it a quick disconnect. Nothing difficult to install but the hardware comes with the Memphis Shades batwing. Hope this helps!
Put a Road Glide Fairing on my Night Train..'course I can't remove it..
but I wouldn't if I could. Do a lot of Trav'lin and love the fairing, windshield, lowers, and tunes....
