Default Red Line Oils

I have a new build with a Barnett Scorpion clutch. My dealer did the build so I'm pretty sure they used HD products for the primary and trans. I've read that Barnett doesn't recommend HD products for their clutches. I like the clutch with a couple exceptions: I can't get into neutral with the motor running and its stiff when cold. I'll be putting Red Line V-Twin Primary Oil in the Primary and Heavy Schockproof Gear Oil in the trans. I'll post results.

My story swings the other way. I put the shotgun shock on so I changed the tranny fluid before I buttoned it back up for the obvious reasons and I got talked into trying the Redline. My tranny started shifting very hard, couldn't find neutral and it whined like crazy. I got that stuff out of there, put my Amsoil back in and it shifted smooth as silk again, neutral was once again a snap to hit and no more whining. I know when I posted that thread I got many who said they never had a problem with it and I am happy for them. My bike just didn't like it.

I tried Redline w/shockproof on my last change and it has been really great the shifting is alot quieter and nuetral is so much easier to hit.

Hey tbonetony06. I've always used Amsoil oil in all my bikes & vehicles. I went with Redline because Barnett recommend it. Well, there's no dif with it over what the dealer installed. Can you tell me what Amsoil products you used.
