That explains why I was blinded in the 9/11 ride last Sunday. I made the mistake of the cleaning the bike!

There is a guy on here with a hand tooled leather console so it can be done. You could also send yours out for PC

I had the same glare, so When I made all my other leather add ons I just made a piece to cover the Chrome on top of the console.

Looks like this and now I don't get any more glare..

I like the glare; beats the alternative...

I have a full face helmet and have never had the issue. Still now I have to tip down my head a bit to be able to see the speedo.

I just ride with my left hand out and down to block the reflected light from going in my eyes. No sunglasses, save welding glasses, will block enough of the reflected light when it is "just right" into your eyes.

Just adds to the personality of the bike. It's the price I pay for all the chrome. And I have quite a bit of it up front, so there is always some sunlight reflected into my eyes from one surface or another. See (and you can't even see the chrome springs and triple tree in this picture):

If I don't go with leather I'll probably go with one of these. It's interesting that the black, which is just plain, cost a lot more than the others with designs.

Nothing like the reflection of blue sky on a whole heap of chrome...me personaly I will tough it out. Wish I could wear a full face helmet but even the 3/4 I have gives too much isolation
