Was wanting to beef up the intake(i currently have a K and N). any ideas ? I have seen outlaw highflow 587, Kuryakyn Hyperchargers, Arlen Ness Big sucker and Big sucker II, I really like Performance machine SuperGas with the Rival Face plate.
No worries bro... Some threads just blow up for dumbest things and others never get answered for some crazy reason.
I had the SE heavy breather out of factory and I didn't care for the red KN filter against my bike color. I put a Wimmer 90 intake and was able to get any color filter and they don't need to be oiled. I got the top breather set up too and it looks much much better. I am pretty sure that Wimmer was one of the first to design the heavy breather 90 degree type of set up and most including Harley followed suit.
I'll take a picture of my setup and post it a bit later if you can hang in there.
I was also looking at these set ups and decided against it. If you click on some of the images you can see some variations. Pretty cool stuff imo.
Regular stage one works for me. Got a chrome one from FuelMoto. You have a lot of a/c cover choices after that. Once that's on you'll need a tuner though.
Here are some of my Wimmer setup. Pictures as always don't do it justice.
Also, on that precision link I gave you. What they do is inlay of specific colors. Not sure if you want to get that fancy or not. You can match timing cover and derby as well. All depends. If you want performance than the 90 degree setups like above will be much more cfm intake.
haha wtf... just noticed that my reflection of me is in pic. FVckin nasty. lol Just take a look at setup and disregard. At least you know I got out of bed and took some pictures for you.
I have been asking the same question and got a few answers but gotta admit I love the look of the 90 with a cone filter. I thought i had my mind made up on the SE Heavy Breather but I'm gonna look at the Wimmer now thanks to the previous post and pics.
Looks awesome Red, the filter that is.
