I have a 2005 Heritage classic ,, Changed my oil and went out for a run out in the country with the wife , and after about 15 miles of put - putting around looking at houses i lugged into a Very tight 10 mph right turn doing about 5mph and as i came out of it hit a gear the engine shut down with oil light on ... I freaked !!! I looked down on the road to see if i had a puddle and seen nothing. I then checked the oil which as good then i turned to engine over and it stated up ,,So i shut it off ....I then made a few calls and was told there is a low oil sensor that on some tight turns can shut your machine down . My question is is this true? i road the bike home just fine and dandy but still made me nervous. Thanks,,,Bob
As far as I know there is no such sensor on the bike.
There is a bank sensor that will shut the bike down when you drop it. But don't think that you were leaning that far over.
You probably just stalled the engine ... 2 up in a corner at 5 mph ... too high a gear coming out ... easy to stall engine. When engine stops, oil light comes on. ...
