Ok, so I've been doing a lot of searching tonight, trying to find some highway pegs for my 2012 Heritage. I don't want crash bars on the bike, which seems to limit the options a lot. I swear I saw a thread about this here, but can't find it now. Also talked to a parts guy at a dealer a couple months ago, but don't remember what was available.
How can I get highway pegs without a crash bar? Is there something available that attaches to the frame?
Thanks in advance for any help, I'm sure you guys will come through yet again
not sure why you wouldn't want crash bars...the only "highway pegs" I've seen that DIDN'T require crash bars was basically like the forward control bar for a sportster, attached to the top of the frame where you would attach the highway/crash bars and had a single bar that was bent and dropped down and came out on both sides from there with fixed pegs on the end of it...looked WAY out of place...

first reason, is because it's my bike and i can do things whichever way i feel like. second reason, i figure they would be nice for long trips and easy to remove the rest of the time. happy?

Not many options out there without the engine guard. I know as I also have been looking for the same thing for my 09 Heritage. Not sure I want the engine guard either. Good luck in your search. Great looking bike by the way.
Was looking at the mustache bar myself just today. Think they look cool, appear highly functional, and have a bit more streamlined look than the crash bars.
Like the fact that are more or less infinitely adjustable up or down the frame to suit personal taste and can be easily removed if deemed in the way for around town riding.
