Nice bike! I agree with you, go ahead and put some more black powder coat on it.

Is there a difference between the springer front of say the Bad Boy and the Crossbones? I only ask because to my inexperienced eyes, I always seem to like the springer front end on most of them besides the Crossbones. Is it just that headlight position on the Crossbones that makes it look so different?

As far as I know, the Springer front ends on the BadBoy, Heritage Springer, Crossbones, etc...... are of the same design. The brakes have changed, maybe the degree of rake, but the fork itself is the same.

Bad Bones has an FX springer front end (brake on the right) and the Xbones has an FL springer front end.

The FX springer is about 1 inch longer.

Those wheels look great & I like how you blacked the rear sprocket? (with belt drive is it still called a sprocket?) I want to black mine out a bit more but I'm unwilling to do anything irreversible because of historical and sentimental value. My bad boy was my grandfather's and after he died my girl friend & I got it running (he was too old to ride so it sat for 6 or 7 years) Now it's my only transportation so it gets lots of love. My girl has an '09 Nightster so I love that her's is the evolution of the Bad Boy ideal. They got no love in their day but now they are the classic that inspired the lean black bikes of today. Watch their value rise over then next several years. Not that I care, I'll starve before I sell mine.
