I searched this forum for "Driving Lights" and did not come up with an answer to this question. Hopefully someone here will help me.
I have a 02 Heritage and just bought new LED driving lamps and headlamp. I want to keep my driving lights on when my high beams are on. I am not wanting to know any legal BS about having them on or not.
Can anyone help me with what wire I need to do what with? I do not want to run one directly to the battery as I most likely forget to turn them off some sunny day and drain my battery.
You might try this; the subject was adding fog lamps to existing lights on his Heritage...
"On my Heritage I run the relay on the same circuit as the passing lamps. The passing lamps power was moved from the headlamp low beam to its own feed from the ign switch on the center console. So now passing and fog lamps can be on for either high or low beam and there is no danger of overload."
I bought the wire harnse adaptor from my local HD dealer. It was less than $20. Easy to put on. I now ride during the day with high beam on with the passing lights on also.
