Default Rear wire harness rub

2010 Lo with shotgun shock...took a peak under the rear fender the other day, and it looks like the harness isnt staying snug to the fender. Looks like the forward most part is starting to fall down. Has anyone else had this problem, and what did you use to fix it? Im thinking some heavy duty double sided tape, glue, or something else...ideas?

Get some of the 3m emblem take which is double stick tape. The roll looks red and you can get it at any auto parts store. You can also move your harness to the side of the inside of the fender reducing the chance that the tire will rub the harness.

When I changed the rear fender I used a 2 part 5 minute epoxy to glue the wire loom back in place I have found that double sided tape over time gets loose and then getts dirt and grime and eventually falls down. This epoxy is almost like JB weld but it stays semi pliable so it can expand and contract with heat etc. Has been working great.

Do you remember the brand of epoxy you used, and maybe where you bought it from?

I got it at Lowe's and I believe it was made by loctite.

ditto what 08 says. Did the same thing but it didn't stand up to the hari kari squirrel got between tire tire and fender destroying the harness. New harness and clean fender real good is the sure way of fixing it. New loom is only 12.00. I run a 160-16 tire under the stock fender with the rear slammed to the bottom with no problems.
