I previously owned a Heritage Softail Classic and hated the studs so I wanted to keep the stock styling of the Deluxe but wanted a better fit with more comfort. Reworking was just the ticket. The seat looks like stock with the Deluxe styling and fits just right now.
I have the hd sundowner seat, and it ain't real pretty. But it is real comfortable, and a big improvement over the stocker and pillion. My wife likes to ride with now, rather than complaining about the seat all the time. The sundowner is a large seat. Up & back ??? don't know. I bought it for 20% off list, so it ran about 260.
I just put on a Heritage Springer Seat. Best thing I ever did. The Stock Deluxe Seat doesn't even come close. The HS Seat puts me further back and is not as bucketed as the stock Deluxe seat so the comfort is wayyyyy better.
We need to make this a Sticky because this Topic has been coming up a lot lately....
I really like taht and think it is a great idea. Do you know if the stock Deluxe rail on the back will fit on the Springer seat? Also, what year Springer seat is that...'02? Sweet bike. I just bought one and need some comfort.
