Default Mod Update

Like your Momma used to say, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". So all you ape hanger haters can hit the back button now!

Just finished installing new bars, Magnum cables, risers, grips, Wild One smooth handlebar clamp, poly bushings, wire extension kit. Also recently installed matching air cleaner and derby covers, and new horn cover. Not that recent, but I also changed pipes to Bassani Pro-Street with turn-out ends.

I am really happy with the bars - picked them up from RIS Design. They are 1.5"diameter tubing that has been crushed to give a flatter look. Welds and chrome are top notch. Bars curve back similar to flying ape style. They sent the wrong bars first time, but they fixed it and even took my specs and made them exactly how I asked. Love the Wild One clamp with hidden hardware for a nice clean look. I also went with just one throttle cable to keep bars as clean as possible without running throttle or brake lines internally. Considered internal throttle and clutch cable, but want easy access if there is ever a problem.

Pics aren't the best, as I have not had a chance to ride - having a problem with intermittent ignition switch I am working on, but they give you an idea of how bike looks now.

Very nice! Those bars really compliment your fender struts!

Thanks - just bled brake line last night and it feels good to be done. I've changed bars several time before and had to mess with all the wiring, but have never changed all the cables, etc. Wasn't bad - just never could dedicate more than an hour here and there, so it took a couple days. Thought pullin wires thru the bars was going to be a pain, but it literally took maybe 3 - 5 mins a side to feed wires thru. May ride it to work tomorrow and see how they feel.
Ghoti - saw your thread the last few weeks as you were installing apes - bike looks real nice.
