Did the bike, at anytime, get wet prior to this problem? My Deluxe runs like a rapped ape but if I wash it, it won't fire for crap until it dries out. I have yet to find out just exactly what is getting wet and why it does that but thats what it does after getting wet. Thats why I now just wash it, wipe it down with wet rags then detail it and wax it. We might need a little more information from you guys. Also, did he do any type of repairs to it or work on it prior to this event as well?

Are you sure you have gas? Can you crank on it with the throttle open and get that "flooded gas" smell? Does it have a petcock, and is it on? Filter & pump are good for the fuel, but that doesn't mean it's getting past the carburetor.
