Default Thinking about upgrading

I currently have a 2010 Street Bob and have been admiring the softail frames for a while. I did have my heart set on a softail slim for a while now until I went to the dealership yesterday. The slim does not appear to be an ideal bike for 2 up riding (understandable it is a bobber). I think that I have convinced myself to go with the Fat Boy Low. What are your guy's opinions? Thanks for any Pros and Cons you have found along the way.

Heritage...classic looks, great two up, and you can solo it out and lower it as well...IMO the best all around bike HD makes!

I went from a Street Bob to a Fatboy regular. The Lo was too low for me.

Haven't looked back since.

I've set my slim up for occasional 2 up riding. Quick detach hardware.
Not sure why you think it's not 'ideal'. No complaints from passengers so far.
If you like the bike I think it's fine for 2 up.

Thats good to hear actually, my problem is because I could only go off looks and not reviews. I currently do not know anyone who owns a slim but am still curious. Thanks for the help.

I have owned or ridden every bike that Harley has ever made since 1969. My last bike was a Heritage Classic, the bike I now have and ride is a Deluxe. To me, and I am sure I will get a ton of negative feedback on this but there is no comparison and the Deluxe is one sweet riding bike. I don't think I would ever own anything else. Mine is not stock but still, for me, It's the Deluxe even if it were stock. This, as always, IJMHO. Good luck and either way all softails are one sweet ride.

I will say that if you'r planning on a lot of 2up riding think about the costs of setting the bike up for 2 up. It wasn't cheap on the slim between the pillion, peg posts, pegs, sissy bar and all that entailed (quick detach, etc.).
If that's the bike for you then it may be worth it (like it was for me). Just wanted to help think through the costs too.

The Heritage is already set for 2-up riding.

That's they key phrase for me. If you get something else you just may not be able to get your mind off that Slim. Spend the money on setting the Slim up for two up riding. No matter what you buy you're going to spend money on making it your own.
