I have the HS windscreen and the wind felt like it was ripping my 3/4 helmit with shield right off my head. Put the fangs on and it stopped. I hate the way they look, even took them off once and went for a ride, came home, back on the fangs went. They will stay on now, I've gotten used to the dracula look on my forks.
I have a 2013 Fat Boy Lo. I bought a HD windshield for it. I went for a ride and when I made it home I removed the windshield, way too much buffeting. The wind is definately coming from below the windshield. I have been trying to figure out which lowers will fit on my Lo. I would prefer black but I will try chrome. Does anyone know which lower deflectors will fit a 2013 Lo that has had a HD quick mount windshield added?
I had the fangs and windshield on my last bike, a 97 Heritage. I didn't see what all the talk about them was all about. I think they look kind of ugly so I never even considered putting them on the Deluxe I now have and ride. It seems like everyone here likes them though. I have 2 windshields, which have never even been on my bike yet so again I never even considered getting the fangs again. Maybe I will remain a little more open to the idea but boy, the way my bike is set up now, I just don't know how I would like the looks of them on my Deluxe. They came on my 97 Heritage so I guess my next question is are they a pain to install? What all is involved in putting them on? Do they do any good when they alone are on the bike? I mean do they still work if I don't use my windshield?

They're easy to install, but I doubt they'll do much without the right windshield.
