You're in Florida and looking for winter riding gear?
I'm in north Florida. Ever been to North Florida in the winter? It ain't North Carolina, but it gets below freezing at night here fairly often and we have a lot of days in the 40-50 degree range. 40 degrees with wind chill, you better bundle up if you want to have a comfortable ride.
You can ride all year long down here, but take my word for it - don't believe all the PR marketers and advertising liars -- it gets chilly.
I went to my HD dealer yesterday to order these. They had them in stock. I mounted them last night and went for a ride this afternoon. Problem solved, no more buffeting. Thanks for the help!
I have a stock HD 16 inch windshield on my 02 Heritage Classic. Used to get a lot of buffeting. I added the HD fangs and it just about took all buffeting away. I have now put on HD soft lowers for the winter. Didn't help or hurt with helmet buffeting but helps keep the legs warm and dry. I am hoping Santa will be nice to me and bring me a taller windshield. Air hits me square in the face. Going to put a 20+ inch windshield on. Will still be able to see over it but should stop the wind in my face.

Look seriously at Clearview and Klockwerks shields with reverse curves. The 20 inch HD shield cut right through my line of sight and I hated it. An 18 inch with the reverse will give you the best if both worlds. I think you will be happier.

Glad I could help! These were great when I had them on my bike too. Only reason I took them off was to install my lower fairings. Ride Safe!
I added them to my Fat Boy Lo, and they don't completely solve the buffeting but they significantly help. I really didn't like the chrome though, with the Black / Brushed Aluminum motif of the Fat Boy Lo.
So I had them powder coated. I looked up "powder coating" on google, found a place nearby that coated them for $40. Easy and cheap. They look much better to my eye now.

Looks good. Does your fork bag touch the fender when hitting bumps and sitting on the bike.

Certainly not when I'm sitting the bike, and not that I've noticed while riding. The pics are a little deceptive, the bag is a fair distance above the fender.
