Default Wind buffing!!

I changed my stock 12" windshild to a clearview light tint 9" looks great!! Wind buffing, today was the first time I experienced it, really didn't know what to expect, but I quickly found out. I guess it will take a little getting use to, but on the long hauls I think I'll change back to the 12" I guess I'm use to looking through than over, but like I said looks real nice!

Don't know what your running other than a 9" windshield. I bought a FastAire 10" windshield. I had a 14" Clearview and the difference is minor. The Fastaire has a "more square" cut to it that makes such a difference.

Just my opinion, but trust me, if the wind was beating me up, I would have switched back.

For 32 bucks, its worth a shot???????

IMHO it's safer to look just a little bit OVER rather than through the windshield - once you get into fog or misty rain you'll know why... You're blinded. The increased wind is obvious but you'll get used to it.

The buffeting is coming from below, not over the shield. Adding fork lowers will help.

Others have commented on this as well, but there is a BIG difference between extra wind and buffeting when it comes to new windshields. I had the stock shield on and looked through it… the wind was calm and the buffeting was nonexistent. I recently added a Fast Aire 9” shield and there is a little extra wind as well as some buffeting… the buffeting seems to be the worst around 50, but even then it is not anything more than a little annoying.

Did you get the shield with re-curve? That makes a difference.

Install the lower fork baffle, its a small half dish that goes between the forks ahead of the fuel tank. Eliminates majority of the wind baffle. Probably the best $30 you will spend. Two screws and two minute install
