Cold Start Problems
I have a 2000 Fatboy originally 88ci. I have recently had it rebuilt to 95ci. With A Dave Mackie Megasphere gear drive 510 cams etc... bike runs good dyno at 100hp and 110ft pounds of torque to the rear tire, 3500miles on new motor. The bike just started pinging a bit. My engine builder told me after some carbon built up this would happen and we would have to get a new ignition module. I had a screaming eagle ignition module and it started fine. I put in a Twin Tec TC-88 and it wont start put the screaming eagle back in and it starts right up. Put the TC-88 back in and it starts when the bike is warm cool it off wont start put screaming eagle back in starts right up. Driving me crazy. I googled this and found im not the only person thats had this problem. But no one seems to have the answer to the problem. My engine builder is well known and respected here In Ventura Ca. but is scratcing his head also. He talked to Chris at Twin Tec and he said it has to have a good 5 volts to work. So i have been looking at all my wiring to see if i have resistence to ground somewhere in the wiring I feel like Im wasting my time Any ideas out? there i could sure use some new ones. any body been down this path? Where can i get a wiring diagram with the ohms readings and voltage readins at each componet? Any help would be great!!!
