Now that's the very thing I've been looking for all these years. I've been wanting the "old school" solo seat on my Heritage almost since I've had it. What's stopped me is that I never liked any of the mounting solutions involving a pivot in front and two barrel springs in back. I really like the "cantilever" look of the old sprung seat.
All that's holding me up now is wondering how I will like the change in riding position with this setup, as this mount will definately place me higher up and further forward. Anybody else tried this setup? How is the quality of the mount kit? Is the change in riding position dificult to adjust to? I have a 30" inseam, so I'm wondering if the extra seat height will be a deal breaker. It's a lot of money to find out it doesn't work for me.
Yes it can be done, I'm still working on frame/ECM coverings though. I purchased
my pogo-mount and Corbin-Gentry leather police seat from V-Twin Mfg. They are
a bit cheaper than Custom Chrome. Here's a pic of my current setup:
FWIW, I also have a 30" inseam and my heels are a bit off the ground, but I mostly
ride two-up so it's not a big deal then. I love this seat. It's like a cloud compared to
the stock Slim's solo seat.
Where are you guys getting your battery/frame pan? I've ordered my seat and mounts from Bar Enterprises but they don't sell the frame pan.
With my '13 Softail Slim, I have a HD solo-seat installation kit #52000014
that will work for the ECM cover. The battery cover part will need a bit
of surgery to make it fit. Sorry, I know its not much help for your application.
Might download the V-Twin Mfg pdf catalog and see what they have that
could possibly work....

Ill check it out. I think I saw that someone on the forums was making them. Ill search that too.
Never heard anyone refer to the xbones seat as "tiny". LOL. It is a tractor style seat.
Checkout COrbin-Gentry for a bunch of different styles...all which use the same pan as teh stock xbones seat. It's a standard size.
Here's my WLA replica seat.... I can ride in this seat all day long...
Nice bike man! I just got finished doing this mod myself. Fortunate to get it as a hand me down from my older brother Its the ultima seat, surprisingly comfortable and has the cool looks of an aftermarket seat. http://www.ultimasaddles.com/index.htm
