Maybe thats why outlaws ride Dyna's and not Softails
I don't know about where I live, but where I live most of them are on baggers, with a few softails and almost no dynas.
Besides all that, if you compare the factory specs from a 2013 Wideglide to a 2013 Slim - Standard's been discontinued so I don't have quick access to their specs, but the Slim is currently the lowest from factory of the Softails - the Wideglide has 4" of ground clearance while the Slim has 4.5". Until recently I believe the Deluxe was the lowest from factory at 4.8" Odds are either your bike has been lowered considerably in the *** end, and even then I'm not sure how the primary would scrape before the pegs would, because it would have to be a lot, and very noticeable, or else something else doesn't add up.
If you ain't throwing sparks you ain't ridin!! As far as keeping up with other kinds of bikes? I have never worried about that, never even considered it a problem either. All those you ride with, even if they won't admit it, wish they had your Harley over what ever they are riding. They just have not grown up yet and got a " Big boy's " bike, but trust me, they want one!!! If you want to correct and address this problem you are having I have two words for you, "SHOTGUN SHOCK" Be the best money you ever spent and you will never regret it or look back. It is a major improvement on any bike and although I have major mods on my entire bike, it's my favorite mod, takes riding to a whole new level and just tons of fun to ride and show off.

I just bought a 200o haritage that I am turning into a Deluxe with HD parts and it has been lowered with Deluxe parts already. The first time I rode it I scraped the running board on the first side street. Scraped on a winding road by the lake after that. Figured cool it must be low enough.
I'm no expert and I do not ride like this at all. So I'm probably talking out my a** here. But what if he had forward controls or moved his pegs? When I lied my bike over my primary took a beating and I have an engine guard no forward controls but do have pegs. I have an 03 deuce don't know if there is any difference between the bikes.

I will check out the shotgun shocks. also I appriciate eveyone's opion. My bike must have been loward because no one else seems to have this problem with their softail. don't mean to be so critical but I hit the primary so hard the other day I almost lost it. and I thought it was maybe a design fault but if that was the case alot of other people would be doing the same. apparently I'm the only one. maybe I'll replace the shocks. and see what it looks like after that. thanks again..
I have the back of the bike lowered about 1.5" for the most part but I do have a Shotgun. I have scrapped my pipes before and even the pegs a few times. Haven't caught the primary yet.
