You really need to get you another style of bike. I here people talking about dragging the pegs on here all the time but you are really pushing the limit right to the edge. All it would take when over that far is the least bump or a bit of dust gravel for the tire to slide and you are going down. Just my opinion. I can only guess your like the free climber who has no fear. i touched my pegs a while back when a car did a right turn on red cutting me off when I was making a left on a green arrow but I had no choice but to get it over that far. That scares me. Broken bones are a pain in the butt.

Assuming the bike hasn't been lowered (I'm guessing it has, if you can't keep up with other cruisers), you can get a little extra cornering clearance by jacking up the spring preload on the shocks.

Really though, I'm not that unsatisfied with pushing corners on my Rocker, even though I came from the sportbike world.

Cornering hazards like road debris will crash any bike, so don't think that a sportbike has any advantage there. Only an idiot will make a maximum speed pass through a corner without first checking it for debris, and maybe working up to the final (Youtube brag video speed) in increments. There's plenty of Youtube videos of people crashing too.

You could also look into what you can do with body position to reduce lean angle. We'd shift the whole body to one side on sportbikes, maybe just keeping a knee hooked over the seat, but that's much harder to do with forward controls, and I still haven't made huge progress there. Still, I've seen people who keep their body vertical when the bike is leaned into a corner, and that reduces cornering clearance.

FXST and I dragged something the other day. Forward controls and it wasn't too hard to scrape. I will check out shotguns as well.

Doesn't look lowered to me. That is one pretty ride. Are you particularly heavy?

I agree, your bike does not look like it's been lowered, from the pics anyway.
