Default How to lock a detachable windshield (not a quick release one)?

Hi,

I know there is a locking system for quick release windshields:

Do you know if is there any option for detachable ones? How do you prevent them to be stolen?

Thanks,

Weld it on. That's the only way to fully prevent someone from just taking the windshield. Even that lock for the quick detach would be easy enough to get around if someone really wanted it.

Well, for that matter, the entire bike is not that hard to take if they really wanted it. What you want in a wind screen is one the is easy for you to remove and impossible for anyone else? The locking one is the best ompromise between those extremes. Still as you mentioned, not perfect.

Couldn't you bolt it on? That's what I do with my fairing just use the 4 bolts on forks, and when I want it off just loosen them up and pop it off

Dont ever remember reading anyone saying their shield was stolen. Not sayin it cant happen. If traveling and staying in a hotel, I used to detach it and bring it in the room with the bags. I no longer have a detach one so not a problem.
