Hey all. Well, finally I'm taking delivery of my 2012 Heritage by the end of the week. Now of course it's time to make some minor changes. A buddy of mine just also bought a 2013 Heritage and he ordered some Wille G floorboard inserts and they just didn't seem to fit very well. The insert didn't look like it was a direct fit drop in.
I'm in the same boat as far as wanting to switch them out, but was considering a different look. The part # I'm considering is: 50187-96 will they fit in just like the OEM's?

Thanks for any help.
cruzomatic,
Congrats on your new 2012 Heritage. I'm rather partial to the Heritage myself. The footboards come in two shapes; traditional and half-moon. Your 2012 Heritage should have the half-moon shape footboards. The part number you gave (50187-96) is for the traditional shape footboard, not the half-moon shape. You will need part number 50051-09 in the Nostalgic collection.
Your buddy needs to check if he purchased the correct insert. They should be an exact fit.
Beware, not all collections include both the half-moon shape and traditional inserts. Why ? Who knows.
Ohhhhhhh, mah. Ok, I see now. Yeah, after checking and double checking, he bought the wrong insert. He has half moons and bought the traditional shaped insert. Doesn't look like they offer the Willie G in the half moon shape.
