To be fair, I wouldn't compare the Switchback to a StreetGlide. Just my opinion.

There is a reason I have a touring bike and a softail. You will enjoy your new bike a lot on those longer trips.

Oh I agree with that absolutely - I was just making the comparison of going from a bagger (pseudo or otherwise) back to a cruiser...

Nice SG Jason! Going to make tgise rides to Galveston a lot more comfy. I would like to have one someday but dont plan on losing the Train to do it. I do a lot more around town riding than distance and even when I do it's only about 8 hours.

Well congrats on the SG, they are nice bikes. Good luck with it. The only problem I have with them is how you figure out which one is yours when it's time to leave the bike night.

I thought the same thing. In Galveston a few weeks ago, I was talking to a dude that got too drunk to ride his bike home so his buddies put him in a cab and took his keys. When they got up the next morning to leave, he went out and found out his buddies had taken the wrong black street glide. His key fit another bike. When they took the bike back to the parking lot, his bike had a note on it saying something like "if you took my bike by mistake, please call...". We saw the note, it was hilarious.

However, the black SG is a great platform to start with. Have fun!
