The little clip inside of the bags on a Heritage? My bike has little clips dangling on the inside of both bags. They are attached to a little eye that is on the bag mounts and comes through a hole in the bags. After almost a year I've taken them off as I see no purpose for it. What the heck are those things for?

falconbrother,
I could not offer a reasonable hypothesis of what they are. What year is your Heritage? Did you buy it new (could a previous owner have installed them)? I have a 2012 Heritage and I do not have what you describe. I will assume that fall guy doesn't have it on his '05 Heritage either since he is only guessing based on what you described. If I am wrong he can chime back in.
Is it possible to take a picture of it and post it?
