I am considering installing the S&S 106" big bore kit, complete with their Super Stock heads, on my 2008 Heritage. Have already put on V&H true duals, SE Heavy Breather, and PC III. I am not a speed demon, so I am looking for suggestions on which S&S cams to use? I also want it to have a nice 'lumpy' low idle... I know there is a gazillion brands out there, but want to stick to S&S.
Since you are going all S&S your best bet would be to take OCT1949's advice and talk to a pro. I'm sure that if you called S&S and talked to them about what you want to get out of this build they would probably have all the answers you need. On a side note for not being a speed demon you are going to have one hell of a fast bike when you are done!
Thanks for your feedback Uncle Chester, I have a call into S & S, just waiting for a reply. But in the mean time, I thought I would throw this out to the forum just to see what responses I get. ( only got 3 as of today ) Hmmm..
oct1949, It's not that I was going to follow someone else's build, just wanted feedback on comparable setups, you know, just "chewin' the fat" on a forum...but based on the responses I got, there ain't much interest,
of course I am going with the advice of my pro-builder and S&S.
