Default Question on fender struts between years.

What's up? I have a 94 softail springer. Gonna put a klockwerks stretched rear fender on it. I have a question about the fender struts. Have the mounting holes changed throughout the years? Klockwerks has two fenders for the softail. One is not pre drilled and one is pre drilled for 2000 and up softails. If I bought the pre drilled fender, would the holes line up with my struts? Are the strut to frame holes the same distance apart? I could just buy new struts if they'll bolt to my frame.

buy the solid one and do it your self. A lot more mounting choices when you go that route.

Yeah, I think you're right. I'm actually surprised there aren't more stretched fenders out there for the softails.

I'm not sure about the hole locations, but I think the tire width increased some time in there and that might determine which will fit. Wider tire...wider fender....different strut covers.

Back Again is right. Buy the undrilled. I filled the holes in on my Fat boy fender and re-drilled them to set closer to the tire. Nobody has ever asked about it so I guess it is not apparent that my rear fender gives it half of the lowered look. Lot of things can be done by buying undrilled metal for these sleds. Worth just what I charged you for it.
