Ok, i was a little harsh about the man card thing, but the above quote has meaning, new relationships you need to set the tone early. You are in your late 30's like you said, don't lose control of how you do things. You do what YOU want. Chicks got no say in all things manly, lol. You buy your stuff she buys hers, nuff said. Thats how I roll. Have a goodin

Rent a bagger for the weekend some time...if you want real comfort, and you'll never look back, and neither will your woman.

Back in 07 our Son bought his first Harley, a new Deuce because His wife liked all the bling of the Deuce over a NT, which he wanted..

In 09 after throwing $4k at the Deuce trying to make it what he wanted he ended up buying a new 09 NT. What he wanted in the first place.

But he then found out after a couple hrs in the seat he'd start having back pains and because he now wanted to start taking long Trips, he traded the 09 NT for a new 2010 Street Glide and now he's finally Happy.

Took 3 new bikes in 4yrs, but at least now he's totally pleased with what he has.

Point is his wife picked out the first one, That didn't work. Then he bought what he thought he wanted and that didn't work either.

Then He bought a bike that works for Both of them.
After she rode on the back of the Street Glide she's been nothing but smiles and now they are both Happy.

I got my Heritage new in 07, Having a lot of bikes in my 47 yrs of ridding I pretty well knew it would work for this Grandpa and Grandma.. And it has, Going on 6yrs and now with 41k on her Grandma and I have had a lot of good times and memories with it.

The wife has been sitting on the back probably 95% of those 41k miles and has loved almost every minute. Well Almost -- (She don't like it when I wind her out) Usually it causes a pain in my side from her smacking me...

So don't pick one out just for looks, get one that makes U both happy and comfortable.

Get the Bones.... Once you go Springer, you'll never go back..

Stay clear of a DNA springer front end.....

If I were you, I'd go with the Bones...unique bike with a lot of customizing options.

Yeah I also think,,, go with the X-Bones, U can change the rake, front and rear fender, plus the seat and make it a decent looking Bike...

Of course all that is just MO...

Then U'll still need a shield and some good looking bags to make her road worthery for trips.

I have no idea how to put pictures or else I'd post one of my xbones!! I put an 18" x4.5" rim up front with a 140 and a lower pro tire in the rear! Blacked out some stuff and rolled the bars forward! It looks like a whole new bike, plus springers are no longer made so the choice is clear!! Good luck with it but a springers a springer, just saying!!!
