Just before I put my batwing and Hardbags in for paint, I have bought a Chopped Tourpak, as we are planning a trip to the Superally in Poland next year, so the extra luggage space will come in handy.
I've ordered a Solo detachable rack to mount it and need some help in deciding which way to go,
I know a few people will say not to bother with the thing but its really only for long trips.
Anyways, I've never seen one of these tourpaks fitted and wondered if when its fitted on the solo rack with the backrest, will the backrest be of any use to me, for example will it fit close up to me to lean back into or not.
Really need to know this before paint, as if its not of any use then i would get the holes for the backrest filled in before paint.
Probably criminal but it's a brand new tourpak in paint, and its going to get stripped.
Chopped TP, solo seat.
I opted for the backrest separate from the TP.
That way I can remove the TP and still have the back support (a big deal for me......).
Nice. Can you open them bags with the tour pak fitted?
It is possible to bang the bag lids on the underside of the TP. It's also possible to open them and close them with no contact.... After a while you get used to the motion......
:-)
