Default Short question on tour pack

I am going to install a tour pack on my street glide.
My question is if I have a solo seat can I mount the
tour pack to the mount for the sissy bar?
Thanks

Dave: If you have the HD solo detachable rack, PN 53620-02, it will fit fine--unless you have one of the solos (Corbin???) thatdoesn't use the rear fender bolts to attach the seat to the bike and covers those bolts--then there may be (likely will be) interference between the rear of the seat and the front of the rack. IIRC I have seen posts here where one of the Corbin solos doesn't work with HD solo rack because of this interference.

I have an aftermarket (Mutazu) box on a solo rack using the RK Standard solo seat and there is no problem with fitment, and I have seen pics of guys using other seats with the King and Chopped TPs and the solo rack.

What solo are you planning/considering to use?

I have not made up my mind yet.
I am getting ready for the trip out west and
will also need a back rest of some kind. Now what
I will need to know is will the tour pack act as
a back rest all day?

The Mutazu box comes with a backrest and worked fine for me riding all day long; and my buddy borrowed it (I used my King TP on the two-up detachable rack) when we rode 4,750 miles (doing two Iron Butts out and back) to Sturgis last summer--he liked it so much he wantedto buy it from me. But neither of us regularly ride with a backrest so the fact that the Tour Pak backrest would be higher than a normal rider backrest was not an issue for either of us.

I think Iclick found the TP backrest was too high, so he modified the installation of the King TP on his bike to move it farther back so he could also use the HD rider backrest, with no backrest on the TP.
