Default OOzing Fluid

Asking this one for a friend...... He has fluid oozing from the clutch cable underneath the boot where the adjustment is. Any ideas?

Sorry guys but I posted before I searched. Came up with some threads about the tranny vent being clogged. We will check that out and see what we find. Hopefully it is as easy as that. If it is not, does anyone know of any more possible causes?

I had this after 4 months of ownership of a new 2012 Fatboy.

On the tranny cover is a little black rubber hose. Mine got clogged. In order to fix this correctly, you need to remove the top tranny cover and knock the mud out of the vent. It's pretty easy involving only 6-7 torx screws but the challenge is getting around the other stuff that surrounds the screws.

If the leak was only on the bottom of the clutch cable where it meets the transmission then the o-ring has failed. But this really sounds like a blocked vent.

+1 havenolife on this, oil is supposed to get into the clutch cable housing but if ya got it coming out of the adjustment area ...my guess too much oil. I would drain the tranny out completely and pour in the 32oz or whatever your manual calls for.
