Slip On's
I have a 2012 Heritage softail, I'm thinking about buying vance and Hines part#16831 for my bike to give it a better sound then the stock it currently has. Does anyone have any feed back on this product or any suggestion on getting Slip On vs full exhaust system.

When replacing your mufflers on your model you will be eliminating the "cats" which is a good thing. The VH slip ons have a tendency to discolor due to lean running because of the baffle size. The Rush slip ons can be bought with the 1.75" baffle and wont run as lean. They have a good performance gain and plenty loud after a couple thousand miles. Rush is a sponsor here and good followup after the sale if you need it. The tip compatible Rush have several billet tips avail and a slash cut that can be installed in 3 different positions

I put the Rush 1.75's on my wife's Heritage 2 weeks ago. Very big improvement in sound over the stock. I haven't swapped out the AC yet but the Rush look good and sound great. They were louder than I expected from the 1.75 but not obnoxious. The baloney cut looks good with the Heritage.
I have V&H true duals on my Ultra for 3 years and they still look pretty good. I don't think quality is an issue with all of the V&H or at least mine are fine.

I have a V&H full exhaust system with quiet baffles, but . . . if I were getting slip-ons, I would go with Rush. They sound better/deeper to me and also are longer than the V&H ones, which looks better on a Softail.
