My wife routinely leaves heel marks on the pipes. I am considering replacing the passenger pegs on my 2008 Fatboy with the BootDr Mini Bullet Boards. Is there enough room to fold them up without the boot guard striking the pipe. I am afraid if the bike tipped over they would bend my pipes. Any of you guys use them on a FatBoy? If so what is your opinion? -Dennis
Unless you get some good input from the guys here, I would check with the manufacturer on any clearance issues.
In regard to the bike tipping over, I doubt any floorboard is going to hold up a bike on it's side. I think a dented pipe would be a minor thing to consider when you've got bend handlebars, broken mirror, dented aircleaner, scratched chrome/paint, dented tank, etc. all to deal with. Just sayin'
when i bought my '12 fatboy lo, they told me there wasn't much to do about floor boards without changing the exhaust. and i was assuming they meant going to duals with one on each side instead of them both being on one side. My woman has left a little of her boots on the exhaust herself.
I have a 2 into one and put floorboards on took the pegs off because my wife was leaving marks on the exhaust, here's what it looks like from the rear, I got these on JPcycle web site
